The Faculty of Health, Sports & Behavioural Sciences is excited to offer a substantive 0.5FTE researcher post to support the development of externally funded research and knowledge exchange projects. The post holder will work with internal and external colleagues and partners on a range of research bidding, data collection, outputs and impact activities aligned to one or more of the Faculty's specialisms in interdisciplinary social sciences, Dementia Research & Innovation, Health Sciences and Services, Nursing and Midwifery, Psychology, Sport & Wellbeing. The post holder will be responsible for co-designing, planning and undertaking data collection, bidding, impact and knowledge exchange activities and supporting the development of Faculty research environment in alignment with requirements of the Research Excellence Framework.

About you




You should have knowledge, research experience relevant to at least one of the Faculty's specialist areas: interdisciplinary social sciences, Dementia Research & Innovation, Health Sciences & Services, Nursing & Midwifery, Psychology, Sport & Wellbeing. You should have experience of doctoral research, or equivalent research experience. You should have proven ability to work as a researcher, with demonstrable experience relating to research methods, bidding for research or knowledge exchange funding, and development of research outputs. You will be able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues and external stakeholders. You will have effective workload and project management skills and be able to effectively represent the University at meetings/events. You will be able to contribute to the production of research publications and funding bids and participate successfully in an interdisciplinary research community.

Doctorate in relevant subject area and/or equivalent research experience First degree in relevant discipline

The post will be based in the interdisciplinary Faculty of Health, Sports & Behavioural Sciences (FHSBS). FHSBS brings together many multidisciplinary colleagues with research skills and expertise, aligned with the Faculty's mission of advancing excellence in health, education, social care and social sciences.
