As an RCC Tour Consultant you will play an integral part in creating an unforgettable experience for our customers. You'll be responsible for assisting customers with various inquiries, handling payments and processing tour bookings. Your working schedule
In this role you'll work a variety of shifts across Monday to Sunday. The core shift patterns are:
7am - 3pm
10am - 6pm
12pm - 8pm
Please note that some shifts will include time based at Edinburgh Bus Station, managing passenger check in.
Your responsibilities
Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
Assist customers via phone, email and in-person, answering enquiries about our products.
Investigate bookings and solve problems that support the operation and achieve customer experience objectives.
Utilise skills and knowledge to convert sales.
Process scheduled tour and Travel Trade bookings via our in-house booking systems (training will be provided).
Handle tour payments via phone, email and in-person.
Complete general administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth running of daily operations (as required).
Check-in tour passengers at our Edinburgh departure point and provide office support for other departure points.
Arrange accommodation and services for self-drive tours.
Address general inquiries and assist with Private Tour operations as required.
Maintain awareness of and adhere to Health and Safety Policies.
Your skills, experience & qualifications
Essential
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to adapt to a wide range of duties and react to various customer enquiries.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills - phone, email and face-to-face.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new programs and systems.
Enjoy working collaboratively in a team while also being confident to solve problems independently.
Genuine passion for travel/tourism and good geographic knowledge of the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
Highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Passionate about preserving our environment and communities, working in a sustainable way.
Desirable
Experience in customer service with an awareness of sales targets.
Previous experience in a Tour Operator or related industry or customer service role.
Previous CRM experience
Language skills.
