Line Manager: Reservations Manager

Open Ended - Permanent: Full Time - 35 Hours per week

The Business Development team are looking for a Reservations Administrator who will support the Reservations Manager to deliver the effective operation of the Reservations department and have the chance to wow our clients with your exceptional customer service, negotiation skills and attention to detail in managing their requirements.

The University of Edinburgh, through its Accommodation, Catering and Events (ACE) department, manages a large portfolio of hotels, Venues, and student and seasonal accommodation. This includes three year-round hotels with circa 200 beds and 10,000 student bedrooms, which are used for large group bookings and individual leisure guests during the summer.

The Opportunity:

This role is an excellent opportunity to join Accommodation, Catering and Events as a Reservations Administrator, a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations within our Central Reservations team, often the first point of contact for our guests. We are looking for a passionate, customer-focused, team player who will keep our clients at the heart of what we do.

You will support in maximising revenue and occupancy in our Hotel and seasonal accommodation collection through effective management of all rooms inventory, system and resources

Based in our central office, located at Pollock Halls. You will work closely with the wider teams to provide high levels of customer service. We are looking for an individual who displays a positive can-do attitude and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Accommodation, Catering and Events provides catered and self-catered residential accommodation for over 10,000 students, including community and welfare support through its Residence Life service. We also operate 17 cafes and a range of other catering products to students and staff across the University estate. Under our commercial brand, The University of Edinburgh Hospitality and Events Collection, we deliver hotel accommodation options to around 200,000 guests each year plus an extensive selection of conference, catering and event services to over 2,000 events.
