Reservations Manager

to join our team and oversee our busy booking operations.

Role Overview



The Reservations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant's booking system and guest communications. You'll ensure that every guest receives a smooth, efficient, and personal reservation experience -- from the initial enquiry to their arrival at the table. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for hospitality, strong organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Reservation & Table Management



Handle reservations via phone, email, and online platforms. Manage table allocations to optimise seating and maximise restaurant capacity. Anticipate busy periods, cancellations, and special events to maintain smooth operations. Work closely with the General Manager and Front of House team to ensure service runs efficiently.

Guest Relations



Be the first point of contact for guests -- offering a warm, professional, and engaging experience. Manage VIP and regular guest bookings with attention to personal details and preferences. Handle special requests, dietary needs, and large group reservations confidently. Resolve any booking issues or guest concerns promptly and diplomatically.

Administration & Reporting



Maintain accurate records of bookings, cancellations, and no-shows. Prepare daily and weekly reports on guest numbers, booking trends, and occupancy levels. Support marketing and events by managing pre-bookings for promotions, private dining, or special occasions.

Team Support



Train, support, and oversee host/reception staff in booking procedures and guest communication. Work collaboratively with the kitchen and floor teams to ensure accurate timing and guest flow. Contribute ideas to improve the guest experience and streamline the reservation process.

Skills & Experience



Previous experience in a reservations, front-of-house, or guest relations role within a busy restaurant or hospitality venue (Italian restaurant experience a plus). Confident using reservation software (Fork) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and calm under pressure. Professional, personable, and passionate about delivering great guest experiences. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
