Job Description

To maintain the highest quality of support to 6 service users living at Spion Kop Care Home in Pinxton, Notts. The small care home is located just off J28 of the M1 motorway. Our Support staff are trained to create a stimulating environment in which the emotional, social, physical and psychological needs of the individual are met. Staff take a lead role and assist in supporting all aspects of the service users assessed needs in areas of daily living. This will include:

Administering medications
Prompting and encouraging service users daily with activities of daily living
Teaching and encouraging independent life skills e.g. attending to own personal hygiene, preparing own meals, attending appointments and taking part in community activities.
Working in line with Care Quality Commission regulations and standards
Safeguarding all individuals
Communicating and completing records to a high standard
Upholding Health and Safety and Confidentiality
The successful candidate be able to work as a team and on own initiative. Previous experience and training is desired but not essential. There are day shifts (8.40am to 5pm) and sleep-in night shifts (4.40pm to 9am) within the role available. Salary increase is discussed following first 3 months Probationary Period and dependant upon performance and training completed.

All applicants must be flexible to cover day and sleep in night shifts and able to work weekends and bank holidays.
