Day staff 16 hours per week- shifts will be 0800-2000/ 0800-1400/ 1400-2000- availability for all is required as they will not be on a fixed rota. Weekend working is required, male of female, driver preferred but not essential

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities and home care environments. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with specific needs such as dementia. The Support Worker will be responsible for ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment while promoting independence and dignity.
Duties
To undertake induction, mandatory and further training as required to meet customer's needs,
comply with legislation and quality standards and to attend further training as required withinn service specifications and continuing development.
To attend to the personal needs of customers as defined in their own individual support plans. Duties may include personal care, domestic tasks and social care tasks aimed at creating a supportive, enabling environment within the customer's home.
To actively promote a positive and person-centered approach to enable service users toachieve their potential for independence and to report any changes to the Registered Manager
To act appropriately in emergency situations, reporting incidents whilst respecting service user's sensitivity, privacy and confidentiality and respond to crisis situations effectively by summoning appropriate assistance e.g., GP/District Nurse/Emergency Services.
To be aware of customer's physical and emotional wellbeing and reporting any apparent changes or concerns to the Registered Manager.
To bring to the attention of the Registered Manager any apparent deterioration in the condition of a customer's accommodation which might affect their health and safety and/or that of support workers.
To work and co-operate with other support workers and professionals involved in the delivery of person-centered support planning.
To apply good practice and report any/all suspicion of abuse of any kind in accordance with procedure and to understand and respect confidentiality and data protection policies within delivery of service.
Attend convened meetings as required e.g., team meetings, customer reviews and supervision meetings. In addition, take part in the annual appraisal process.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with company policy, procedures and codes of practice and handbooks.
