Residential Support Workers
to join our growing team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support children aged 10-17 who have experienced emotional and behavioural challenges, within a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed residential setting.

The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you'll be a key member of a committed team delivering consistent, person-centred care. Under the guidance of the Registered and Deputy Manager, your focus will be on helping each young person build resilience, achieve their goals, and feel valued every day.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Care & Daily Living Support
Provide day-to-day emotional and practical support
Assist with routines, including meals, personal care, and bedtime
Promote independence and positive behaviour
Support young people to access education, healthcare, and recreational activities
Key Working & Goal Setting
Act as keyworker to allocated young people
Set and review personalised SMART goals
Build meaningful relationships through regular one-to-one sessions
Collaborate with professionals, families, and colleagues
Safeguarding & Risk Management
Identify and respond promptly to safeguarding concerns
Follow risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
Address and support behaviours such as absconding, bullying, or emotional dysregulation
Household & Daily Operations
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Support with household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and shopping
Promote good hygiene and food safety
Documentation & Reporting
Accurately record daily care logs, incidents, and progress
Participate in handovers and team meetings
Comply with Regulation 36 and data protection requirements
Learning, Development & Teamwork
Complete mandatory training and refresher sessions
Engage in reflective practice and regular supervision
Support colleagues, including agency staff, to deliver high-quality care
Stay informed about current legislation and best practice
What We're Looking For
Minimum 1 year of experience in residential childcare or similar (preferred)
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or working towards it
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Resilient, compassionate, and child-focused
Clear understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care
Full UK driving licence preferred
