You will be supported within your role in our home and will receive a full induction and training which our Clinical Psychologist and in house CALM Trainer will provide to enable you to succeed in your role. Some days can lengthy and paperwork is essential but making a difference to their lives every day ensuring their best possible outcome is never boring.

Right-Trak is a family orientated run company with relationships and well-being of the children at the centre of the care we provide. We offer a safe, warm and comfortable environment for up to four children and young people of either gender, between the ages of 11 years to 18 yrs who may have experienced trauma or have emotional/behavioural difficulties. The overall aim of the home long term is to prepare young people for their eventual independence.

What you can expect:



A competitive salary;

- 26,041.60- Starting salary for candidates who do not hold the recognised qualification.

- 26,561.60 - Starting salary for qualified candidates with a minimum of 2 years' experience within Children's Residential Care.

- Sleep in allowance 60.00.

- Time and a half-paid on 8 specified Bank Holidays throughout the year.

Qualifications and Skills



Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable (The organisation has an incentivised plan in place for those without the qualification to enable the correct candidate to work towards this qualification upon completion of their probation period).

Understanding of child development, therapeutic parenting, the needs of children and a commitment to supporting young people is essential.

Promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all children

Be able to follow all organisation policies.

You will be working as part of a team of Residential Childcare Workers so good communication, flexibility and teamwork is essential.

Possess diverse skills and be able to empathise with children with complex needs and manage a range of challenging behaviours. Be willing to work on a shift rota system which involves daytime, evening and night work. Good organisational and time management skills. Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK. Hold a Full UK Driving Licence to enable you to transport children to education, contact and appointments
