Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and care to individuals, particularly children, ensuring their well-being and supporting their development. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to drive, and a commitment to following care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and assistance to children in various settings, including home and community environments. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and educational support. Drive to various locations as required for the delivery of services. Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made towards individual goals. Engage in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in childcare and support work.

Experience

Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children and their families. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is advantageous. A background in developing or implementing care plans will be beneficial for this role. A valid driving licence is required to facilitate travel between locations.
