Job Description

We are seeking experienced Bank Female Residential Children's Home Support Workers to join us in our therapeutic children's home setting.

We work with young women (gender-inclusive) between the ages of 8-18 with autism and complex emotional needs, who can present with challenging behaviours such as self-harming and suicidal ideation. Our mission is to support them as they navigate their challenges, fostering a sense of belonging and stability.

We are looking to employ staff who are committed, compassionate, dedicated, and want to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable young women in our care. The role can be challenging at times, but massively rewarding, as the young women flourish.

You will be empathic and have the right values to work with these vulnerable children and young women. You will be resilient and adaptable to adjust your approach to meet the individual needs of the children and young women.

Duties include shopping, washing, cooking, leisure activities, attending professional appointments, and developing independent living skills.

You must have a minimum of 1 year's experience working in a residential Children's Home.

You must be flexible with working days, waking nights and sleep-ins where needed.

You must have NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care with Children or Practitioner Level 4 Children, young people, and families or a willingness to work towards it and complete it within 2 years of starting the course.

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and the ability to address them appropriately.

You must be computer literate and be used to completing daily logs, incident reports, and attending meetings.

MAPA or PMVA Training is desirable
