Childrens residential support worker
in a warm supportive environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childrens residential Support Worker to join our team. You will be part of a dedicated team providing 24/7 care and support to the children and young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect or emotional difficulties. You'll build trusting relationships and promote positive behaviours and help them to achieve their full potential
Your responsibilities
Provide direct support and care to children, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Engage children in various activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and any incidents that may occur during care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for the children supported.
Drive as needed to transport children or attend relevant meetings or appointments.
Experience
Previous experience in residential children's care or working with children is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with children and their families effectively.
Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties associated with the role.
A commitment to ongoing professional development within the field of support work is encouraged.
