Panache Care Ltd is an Ofsted-regulated Residential Children's Home provider based in Nottingham. Our mission is to deliver high-quality care services for children aged 10-16 years, transitioning to semi-independent accommodation. The home is staffed 24/7, ensuring that our approach is flexible, person-centred, and driven by the needs identified through Pathway and Placement Planning for each child in our care.

We are looking for full-time workers, available to work either day or night shifts. The working hours are 08:00-20:00/ 20:00-08:00 for full shifts, with the option of early shifts from 08:00-14:00 or late shifts from 14:00-20:00.

Purpose of the Role



Due to the growth of our organisation, we are seeking experienced Residential Children's Home Support Workers who are passionate, empathetic, and skilled in working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will provide advice, support, and guidance, attending to the practical, physical, and emotional needs of the children. You will act as a positive role model, working closely with each child to address their difficulties and help them achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities



Support the implementation of The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted's Guide to the Children's Homes Regulations, including quality standards. Perform domestic tasks to maintain hygiene and ensure that the home is well-maintained. Liaise professionally with parents, social services, and other relevant authorities regarding the care provided to the children. Ensure that the care provided aligns with the Home's Statement of Purpose. Assess the practical and emotional needs of children by listening to their concerns and creating Care Plans to address these needs, including managing challenging behaviours such as ADHD and Autism. Support children in engaging with community events and activities to promote social integration, including accompanying them to the gym, swimming, and appointments. Work as part of a team to safeguard children and meet their needs in a professional manner. Attend meetings such as LAC reviews and PET meetings. Write weekly and key session reports, complete daily documentation, and appropriately file confidential information. Ensure the home complies with GDPR and Data Protection policies. Support the implementation and adherence to Health and Safety measures within the home. Teach and support children in developing independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, washing, budgeting, and weekly shopping. Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and support to the children. Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development by attending training and improving practices. Administer medication to children as required, according to their support plan. Perform other duties relevant to the role and the running of the service, as needed.

Experience/Skills



Strong communication skills, with the ability to read and write effectively. Completed NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to complete this qualification. Ability to manage challenging behaviours. Flexibility in caring for children, including working on a shift system that includes both day and waking night shifts. The role is based in Nottingham (NG10).
