We are seeking a dedicated Residential Conveyancer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions from inception to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to contribute to a reputable firm specialising in residential property law. The Residential Conveyancer will work closely with clients, estate agents, and other legal professionals to facilitate property transfers, remortgages, and related legal matters.
Responsibilities
Managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and leasehold agreements
Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and solicitors to coordinate transaction progress
Conducting searches and obtaining necessary certificates to facilitate property transactions
Ensuring all transactions comply with current legislation and firm policies
Providing clear advice to clients regarding legal processes and requirements
Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely manner
Assisting with the onboarding of new clients and maintaining excellent client communication throughout the process
Requirements
Proven experience as a Residential Conveyancer or in a similar property law role
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly
Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal practice management and document drafting
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Effective time management skills to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and case handling
A recognised legal qualification specialising in conveyancing or property law is preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional manner
