Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated

Conveyancing Solicitor/Fee Earner

to join our legal team. You will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction to completion, ensuring a high standard of client care and legal compliance throughout.

Key Responsibilities:



Handle a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including: Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases Remortgages and transfers of equity New builds, help-to-buy, and shared ownership Lease extensions and enfranchisement (if applicable) Draft and review contracts, transfer documents, and other legal documents Conduct due diligence including title checks, searches, and resolving any legal issues that arise Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors Manage client expectations through regular updates and clear communication Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including the SRA Code of Conduct and AML requirements Maintain accurate case records and use case management software effectively Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet department targets and deadlines Supervise junior staff or conveyancing assistants (if required)

Requirements:



Qualified Solicitor (or Licensed Conveyancer) in England & Wales Minimum 3 years PQE in residential property law Proven ability to handle a full conveyancing caseload independently Strong knowledge of current property law, Land Registry processes, and lender requirements Excellent communication and client care skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently Proficient in using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office Commitment to delivering a high-quality, client-focused service

Desirable:



Experience with commercial conveyancing (if not required) Knowledge of new build developments or shared ownership schemes Familiarity with compliance procedures
