This position is ideal for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or an experienced conveyancing fee earner with at least 2 years of residential conveyancing experience.
You will handle a high-volume caseload of residential transactions, including new builds, remortgages, and shared ownership, with support from legal assistants and paralegals.
Responsibilities

Manage your own caseload of residential property matters from instruction to completion
Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Deal with new build purchases, remortgages, and shared ownership transactions
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced fee earner (minimum 2 years)
Proven ability to manage high-volume conveyancing files independently
Experience with new builds and shared ownership schemes
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
Strong client care focus

Gowlings Solicitors is seeking a mid-level Residential Conveyancer to join our experienced and supportive property team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or an unqualified fee earner with strong experience to handle a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
You'll work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and be supported by a team of legal assistants and paralegals to ensure efficient case progression and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Handle new build properties, remortgages, and shared ownership transactions
Draft and review contracts, deal with enquiries, and manage files from instruction to post-completion
Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements at all times
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer preferred
Experienced unqualified conveyancer will also be considered
Minimum 2 years of experience running a residential conveyancing caseload independently
Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures, especially relating to new builds and shared ownership
Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with a focus on client care
Additional Information
This role is office-based: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
