Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen
- Plan and prepare high-quality dishes
- Ensure food production meets high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Develop new menu items
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed every Thursday
Skills
- Experience working as a Chef in a care home setting
- Strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff efficiently
- Proficient in culinary techniques and food preparation
- Excellent hospitality skills to provide exceptional service to service users
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of team management to foster a positive work culture
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools for efficient food production
