SolarEdge is looking for an ambitious, project-minded, and driven Residential Project Engineer to join our outstanding UK team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting customers at the pre-sales and installation stage, striving for optimization of these projects while supporting our customers with the best possible service.
What will you be doing?
Providing training in both classrooms and on-site on a regular basis to large residential installers
Generating analysis reports in Designer
Support onboarding process of new, large, residential installers
Providing technical on-site customer support for SolarEdge installed equipment and systems
Provide remote support via telephone as required for SolarEdge installed equipment and systems
Utilization of the SolarEdge CRM system for case reporting and closure
Update the internal knowledge base used by other technical support staff with new troubleshooting information
Working with the Field Service team to provide on-site support
Set up new KPIs and reports to manage large accounts
High level of communication with all other stakeholders involved with the customers
Provides periodic progress, status update & feedback to internal management, both local and international
Requirements:
Completed electrotechnical training or a subject-specific, completed degree
2+ years of practical experience in electrical installations, electrical theory or residential solar design
Minimum 2 years of experience working within a project organization or supporting projects within an organization. (project design, project management, and sales)
Strong problem-solving skills
High level of communication skills - on different levels within the company as with customers and partners
Project organization knowledge including administration of projects
Experience taking ownership of projects
You have a high affinity for photovoltaics and have initial experience in service, customer service or maintenance
Clean driving license
Experience using solar design tools including PVsyst, PVsol, AutoCAD
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Willingness to travel- nationally 30% - 50% of the time
Fluent English - Must!
