Finn's is an independent rural based chartered surveying and property practice with a long history and currently comprises three offices in East Kent. Finn's serves a wide range of agricultural, commercial, development and residential clients.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time property manager to join the lettings department. The role will provide the right candidate with a varied and interesting workload.

Principal duties and responsibilities;

Handling new property and existing tenant enquiries by telephone and email.

Dealing with general day to day correspondence via telephone and email.

Qualifying potential applicants for new lets.

Carrying out property viewings.

Negotiating lets between Landlords and Tenants.

Working closely with our Lettings administrative team.

Ensuring the smooth running of all potential lets.

Using Property Management software for the ongoing management of a significant number of properties.

Ensuring legal requirements relating to residential lettings are adhered to. e.g. landlord's gas safety inspections, EICR's and EPC's.

Dealing with maintenance issues - instructing and liaising with contractors and monitoring the progress of work. Ensuring invoices are promptly sent to the accounts team for payment.

Carrying out property management visits.

Reporting to Landlords following property management visits and discussing renewals and rent reviews.

Requirements;

Knowledge of the relevant legislation and previous experience is beneficial.

A self-motivated person is required who can work closely within a small team to ensure our professional standards are maintained.

Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of dedicated Residential Lettings software would be an advantage, such CFP, Alto etc.

Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure is essential.

The ability to communicate effectively with clients, tenants and contractors in a friendly and professional manner is vital.

A flexible attitude to work responsibilities
