Residential Support Worker - Children's Home (EBD)
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE A LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN 'CHILDREN'S AND YP WORK FORCE', 'HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE' OR HIGHER.
Salary: 12.50 - 14.50 per hour + 50 sleep-in. Equates to an annual salary of up to 35k depending on experience.
Shift pattern: Great shift pattern on a 2-on, 4-off rolling rota as follows:
Example:
Monday/Tuesday - on shift
Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat - Off shift
Sun/Mon - on shift
15 hour shift including a day shift and sleep-in combined. 8:00am Start

Requirements of this job:
Essential
Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare qualification or working towards with considerable progress
Full UK manual driving license
A minimum of 1 year experience working within Children's residential care
Ability to show leadership skills
Ability to engage effectively with children and young people
Experience of managing budgets
Have a genuine interest in working with vulnerable looked after children and young people
Be willing to partake in any training as instructed by the home
Desirable
Previous experience working as a Childcare Practitioner Residential Childcare Setting
Extensive knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 including the Quality Standards
Your key responsibilities as a Residential Support Worker:
To operate as a shift leader as part of the rota
Provide leadership and direction to the support team, ensuring high quality of care
Collaboratively work with the management team to ensure to implement care plans
Contribute towards co-ordinating services and assisting the Registered/Deputy Manager in the management of the home in all aspects appropriate to the Statement of purpose of the Home.
To act as a key worker to a child and be a positive role model for children and other staff in a range of contexts
