The Role
As a Therapeutic Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children with complex emotional and behavioural needs to develop resilience, emotional regulation, and essential life skills.
You will use therapeutic approaches -- including the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) -- to provide consistent, compassionate care that promotes healing and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent, high-quality care in a therapeutic residential setting.
Use trauma-informed approaches to support children's emotional wellbeing and recovery.
Support children in developing confidence, resilience, and positive coping strategies.
Contribute to the creation and delivery of individualised care and support plans.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
Promote a culture of empathy, consistency, and positive role modelling.
About You
Minimum of 1 year's experience in residential childcare (preferred).
Understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed care (PACE experience beneficial).
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Committed to professional learning and development.
