About the Role



You'll be working at our

Dromore Co. Down

home, a well-equipped therapeutic house for one young person aged 6-11. As a Relief Support Worker, you'll support the permanent team by covering planned or ad-hoc shifts including:

Days, nights, weekends, and sleep-ins (based on your availability) Short-notice cover or advance-rotated hours

What You'll Be Doing



Building consistent, meaningful relationships with young people Supporting trauma recovery through safe routines and co-regulation Applying your understanding of attachment, ACEs and therapeutic models Responding with compassion and calm during moments of challenge Working collaboratively with a stable, experienced team Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining accurate records

What You'll Need



Essential:



Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a relevant field At least 1 year of experience in residential childcare NISCC registration (or ability to register before starting) Full UK driving licence

Desirable:



Training in therapeutic or trauma-informed care approaches A degree in Social Work, Youth Work, or Psychology
Familiarity with trauma-informed and therapeutic care

Shift-leading or key-working experience
