The Role
As a Therapeutic Children's Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Using therapeutic approaches such as the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), you will provide consistent, compassionate support that promotes emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, consistent care within a therapeutic residential setting
Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing and recovery
Help children develop confidence, resilience, and positive coping strategies
Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualised care plans
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
Promote positive role modelling, empathy, and consistency
About You
Minimum 1 year's experience in residential childcare (preferred)
Understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed practice (PACE knowledge advantageous)
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and willing to work a rota including evenings and weekends
Committed to ongoing training and professional development
