29,500 - 32,000 per year (dependent on experience)

We are a growing therapeutic residential care organisation committed to providing safe, stable, and nurturing homes where children and young people can heal, develop, and reach their potential. With two Ofsted-rated "Good" homes and a third opening soon, we are expanding our dedicated team in the Burton-on-Trent area.

Our approach is rooted in therapeutic and trauma-informed practice, ensuring that both children and staff are supported within a structured, reflective, and child-centred environment.

The Role


As a Therapeutic Children's Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Using therapeutic approaches such as the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), you will provide consistent, compassionate support that promotes emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy development.

Key Responsibilities



Provide high-quality, consistent care within a therapeutic residential setting Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing and recovery Help children develop confidence, resilience, and positive coping strategies Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualised care plans Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals Promote positive role modelling, empathy, and consistency

About You



Minimum 1 year's experience in residential childcare (preferred) Understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed practice (PACE knowledge advantageous) Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexible and willing to work a rota including evenings and weekends Committed to ongoing training and professional development
