children's home in Brentwood. The home caters for two young people aged from 11-18.

Shift Pattern:
40 hours per week (Full-time), 20 hours per week (Part-time).
You will be required to work weekends and holidays
Overtime (When needed/Short-staffed)
AM shift: 7am - 3pm
PM shift: 2pm - 11pm (inclusive of a sleep in of 11pm - 7am)
S/L shift- 10am - 10:30am (inclusive of a sleep in of 11pm - 7am)

What do you need?
A Full UK Drivers Licence
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Children's, or the equivalent.
Previous Residential Support Worker Experience or experience within the care field.
The willingness to undertake the NVQ Level 3.
Duties include:
Support the young people in the household by encouraging education, fostering their independence, and taking care of their health and welfare.
Uphold a secure atmosphere and environment for the young people
Support challenging behaviour safely and sympathetically and by following OHCH policies.
Deter difficult behaviour while maintaining safety, compassion, and adherence to OHCH principles.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with the team, parents, social worker and other professionals that may be involved within the young people's lives
Build and develop good positive relationships with the young people
Encourage and involve the young people in activities and new experiences to enrich their lives
Follow and write care plans and risk assessments, do essential job tasks, attend team meetings and meetings with other professionals, and adhere to the home's policies and procedures as ordered by the registered manager or deputy manager.
Undertaking everyday parenting responsibilities, such as domestic chores, cooking, shopping, taking young people to appointments/meetings, supporting homework etc

Support the young people in their personal development, gaining vital life skills for future independent living
