Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality residential care to children. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's development, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive environment. Responsibilities

Assist children with daily activities, including prompting with personal hygiene, diet, and independence. Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs Support children's emotional well-being through engaging activities and attentive communication Supervise children during outings, appointments, and recreational activities, including driving when necessary Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and educational staff to ensure consistent care Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the child's condition or behaviour Utilise IT tools to update documentation and communicate effectively with team members Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a care or childcare setting is highly desirable Valid driving licence with the ability to drive children safely to appointments or activities Knowledge of child development and childcare practices Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes Ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, including occasional evening or weekend shifts if required Compassionate attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.40-13.70 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 48 per week
