Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to be our next Residential Childcare Worker at our 2-bed home in Wigan supporting children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. The home is currently rated Outstanding with Ofsted and has a full team in place.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and is motivated to offer the highest standards of care. There is career progression and support will be given to support the right candidate to progress to the next step in their career.

Your role as a Support Worker is vital to their development and you have the opportunity to really make a difference in the young people's lives and help guide and support them to achieve positive outcomes and life choices.

Duties will include supporting the young people daily , attending meetings with health officials, general household duties, completing any relevant paperwork and plans and administering medication if required.

A comprehensive induction programme and shadow shifts will be available to all candidates to ensure you are confident in your role from day one.

All applicants will ideally hold a relevant Diploma Level 3 qualification or equivalent and have experience working in residential care.

You must be passionate about the role and have the ability to show patience when required, our young people can show signs of challenging behaviours at times so require a calming nature and the ability to form positive relationships.

Our shift patterns include early, late and some sleep shifts (up to 10 per month), so must be willing to work some weekends and bank holidays.

Pay: 34,350.00-36,378.00 per year
