29,000 - 32,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Full-time | Permanent | Shift work including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

We are a nurturing and supportive children's residential home based in Burton on Trent, dedicated to providing a safe, stable, and caring environment for young people aged 8-17. The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in the daily lives of the young people in our care. You will be a positive role model, offering emotional support, structure, and consistency to help them overcome challenges and build resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and support tailored to each young person's individual needs Promote positive routines, boundaries, and healthy relationships Support with education, life skills, and social development Manage challenging behaviours using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements Work effectively as part of a dedicated team, contributing to care planning and reviews Participate in household tasks and ensure the home remains a safe and welcoming space
About You

Experience working with children or young people (residential care experience desirable) A caring, resilient, and compassionate approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage complex behaviours Willingness to work on a rota, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
