Job Title: Residential Support Worker (Children's Home)


Location: Burton on Trent, DE15


Salary: 28,000 - 31,000 per annum



About the Role:


We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and professional

Residential Support Worker

to join our team in a residential children's home in

Burton on Trent

. You will be providing care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and emotional development. If you are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a supportive, nurturing team, this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:



Provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and guidance to children and young people in the home. Build positive, trusting relationships with residents, encouraging independence and personal development. Support children in education, daily routines, social activities, and life skills development. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, incidents, and any concerns, ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding standards are met. Work collaboratively with a team of residential staff to deliver high-quality care. Act as a positive role model and maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.

Key Requirements:



Previous experience in a residential care setting or working with children and young people is preferred, but not essential. A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children in care. A full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
