Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Residential Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide day-to-day support to children and young people in a residential setting, helping them to overcome challenges, develop life skills, and build positive relationships. You will be an essential part of their journey towards independence, supporting their emotional, physical, and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in line with individual care plans.
Foster a safe, secure, and supportive environment.
Promote positive behaviour, build relationships, and act as a role model.
Assist with personal care, daily activities, and routines.
Support with education, hobbies, and recreational activities.
Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or incidents promptly.
Work closely with social workers, families, and other professionals to ensure the child's needs are met.
Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development.
About You:
Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
A caring, empathetic, and resilient nature, with the ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
An understanding of the Children's Act and related legislation is desirable, but not essential.
A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare) is preferred but not mandatory.
Full UK driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
