About Us:

At our children's home in Loughborough, we offer vital support and nurture for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them navigate day-to-day life through the therapeutic, trauma-informed PACE approach. We believe in creating a warm, homely atmosphere where the young people can feel secure, supported, and valued. As a Residential Support Worker, you'll act as a role model and 'parent,' aiding in the overall health, well-being, and development of the children. We're committed to ensuring our staff feel appreciated, as we know that this directly translates to the best possible care for our young people.

We're looking for compassionate, motivated, and likeminded individuals to join our team and continue to provide outstanding care.

The Role of Residential Support Worker Involves:

Providing exceptional care to children in line with their individual care plans. Supporting and participating in a variety of activities, ensuring children are engaged and encouraged. Liaising with families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible care is being provided. Taking a proactive role in helping children attend and engage in their education. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of daily activities, progress, and any incidents. Carrying out general housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, and completing health and safety checks. Applying safeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the home. Complying with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations. Working shifts on a rota basis, including sleep-ins. Shifts will either start at 8am, 10am, or 2pm depending on the needs of the children, with end times at either 10pm or 10:30am the following morning if on a sleep shift.

What You'll Get in Return:

A highly rewarding job role where you can make a real difference. Ongoing training and development for career progression. Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. A supportive and inclusive working environment where you will feel valued.

What We're Looking For:

Passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional and behavioural difficulties. A caring, empathetic, and patient nature, with the ability to act as a positive role model. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare) is preferred, but not essential. Full UK driving licence is an advantage but not essential.

How to Apply:

If you are motivated, compassionate, and eager to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your experience and why you want to join our team.
