Residential Support Workers
to join our team at a well-established
children's home in Walsall
.
You will play a key role in providing emotional and practical support to children and young people with complex needs, helping them feel safe, respected, and supported in a stable home environment.
Key Responsibilities
Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
Support day-to-day routines including education, activities, meals, and bedtimes
Promote the physical and emotional well-being of the young people in your care
Assist in the development of personalised care plans
Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports
Work closely with other professionals including social workers, therapists, and education staff
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people in a care, support, or educational setting (preferred)
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
A nurturing and resilient attitude with excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A flexible approach to shift patterns including sleep-ins and weekends
A full UK driving licence (preferred)
