Job Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care for children aged between 4- 18 years old.

This role involves caring/supporting children with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a positive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in caring for others and possess excellent communication skills. Previous experience with children and childcare is advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants

. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills in a supportive environment.

Duties



Build trusting and supportive relationships with children through consistency, empathy, and positive role-modelling. Support children in daily routines, including school, appointments, meals, activities, and bedtime. Promote emotional well-being and resilience using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches. Implement and follow individual care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments. Support children to develop life skills and independence in line with their abilities and goals. Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to reviews, reports, and multi-agency meetings. Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic care. Contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment

Skills



Experience working with children or in childcare environments is highly desirable Valid driving licence Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and patience when working with vulnerable individuals Emotionally resilient, calm under pressure, and able to manage challenging behaviour positively. Compassionate and committed to improving outcomes for children who have experienced trauma. Reflective and open to learning therapeutic practices and participating in ongoing professional development. A strong team player who communicates effectively and works with integrity.
About us:

We are a brand new provider for Residential Care within the East Midlands, we are wanting to raise the bar in residential. We aim to do through, our care, our environments and what we can offer both team members and children within our homes.

You will be supported within your role through an experienced management team.

Rota:

You will work a 2 on 4 off rota - each shift is 15 hours

You will be able to complete sleep in's which are paid at 55
