Do you believe every child deserves care that listens, respects, and supports them to become their best selves?
We are recruiting on behalf of a client who runs therapeutic, nurturing residential homes for children aged 11-17 with emotional & behavioural difficulties (EBD). Help build self-esteem, resilience, and positive relationships through consistent, compassionate interactions.
Work closely with children, their families, and external professionals to promote their wellbeing, development, and voice.
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment with clear routines and high standards of care.
Assist with sleep-ins, supervising evening/everyday shifts, and supporting the home team.
Participate in behaviour management, recording incidents, risk assessments, and contributing to service improvement.
Respect cultural diversity and ensure every child feels seen, listened to, and cared for.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a children's residential setting, ideally with children with EBD.
Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children & Young People / Residential Childcare.
Understanding of positive reinforcement, therapeutic support, safeguarding and residential care regulations.
Empathy, patience, and ability to build rapport and trust with young people.
Resilient approach and ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins, evenings and weekends.
Full UK Driving Licence desirable
What's on Offer
Competitive pay, including enhancements for sleep-ins and overtime.
Strong induction, training and ongoing professional development.
Supportive team environment where voices are heard and cared for.
Opportunities to contribute to a home culture that truly values each child's voice and individuality.
Well-being and staff support, with mentorship and reflective practice.
