The Role: What You'll Be Doing
You'll be part of a supportive service providing a safe, nurturing environment for up to
three young people (aged 8-18)
at a time, each presenting with complex risks and behaviours.
Our focus is on providing opportunities for them to
enjoy new experiences
,
establish friendships
, and develop essential
confidence, independence, and social/emotional skills
.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Building trust and creating nurturing relationships
that genuinely promote each young person's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
Working closely in
partnership with parents/carers
and other professionals.
Contributing to the smooth, daily running of the home (e.g.,
cooking, cleaning, and upkeep
).
Maintaining a
safe environment
at all times and ensuring all safeguarding policies and procedures are strictly followed.
Accurately
documenting information
and keeping records up to date.
Location & Flexibility
Your base will be one of our homes in
Hinckley, Coalville, or Syston
. However, to provide the best cover for our young people,
flexibility to travel
across the locality to work shifts in other homes as needed is essential.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this vital role, your application must evidence:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
OR the willingness to successfully achieve this within the required timeframe.
A strong motivation to
make a positive difference
, create a safe space, and build resilience in young people's lives.
The ability to demonstrate a
good understanding of safeguarding and protection
of vulnerable children and young people.
The
flexibility to commit
to shift work, including
sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
