Location GL19

Starting salary of 26,500 rising to 29,500 once QCF Level 3 (company funded) is complete (there are no sleep in required for this role) FTE pro rata for part time

Hours average 39 hours p/w (169 hours p/m) FTE pro rata for part time

The Role

Previous experience is not essential for this role. Our care certificate training includes theory and work based training to prepare you for the role.

Make a Real Difference Every Day: Support young people aged who have experienced trauma, helping them feel safe, seen, and heard. Build trust through consistent, thoughtful care that promotes healing, growth, and emotional well-being.

Create a Safe, Homely Environment: Work as part of a supportive team to provide day-to-day care in a warm, nurturing home where young people feel valued and accepted. Help them develop life skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Be a Role Model & Trusted Adult: Offer meaningful guidance and stability by building positive, respectful relationships. Support young people through challenges with empathy, patience, and emotional presence both at home and in the wider community.

Support Routines, Learning & Life Skills: Help young people with daily routines, appointments, schoolwork, and activities while encouraging independence, celebrating progress, and being a steady presence in their everyday lives.

What we are looking for?

Hold a full UK driving licence (company cars provided)

The ability to remain calm in challenging situations

A genuine passion for working with young people and making a positive impact in their lives

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect through empathy and trust

A team player with a flexible, proactive attitude and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of daily life

Emotionally resilient, reflective, and open to learning and feedback

A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice

Previous experience in care, education or youth work is desirable but not essential - full training provided
