We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker and Senior Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to children and young people age 16-18, ensuring their well-being and development. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals. The Support Worker will be responsible for implementing care plans and providing care in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with young people , families, social workers and team members to ensure a supportive atmosphere.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each y persons needs.
Provide direct support to young people in daily activities, promoting their independence and personal growth.
Support young people to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times.
Engage children in educational and recreational activities that foster learning and social skills.
Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents, reporting them as necessary to supervisors.
Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
Previous experience 2 years working with young people 16-18 years or in similar settings such special needs or care home is essential; experience in a support or care role is highly desirable.
Familiarity with practices and Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 principles is beneficial.
Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care in Children and Young or equivalent is desirable and a must have for senior roles.
Proficiency in IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes is an advantage.
