Join a leading specialist provider as a Children's Support Worker in a vibrant 3-bed residential children's home located in Gloucester. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people aged 5-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe, caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Encourage and support children and young people to participate in activities and develop independence based on their age and needs Maintain a warm, homely, and positive environment within the residential setting Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours with patience and empathy Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare Support individuals in achieving personal goals and providing emotional and practical assistance Ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents Keep up-to-date with care plans, guidelines, and communication preferences for each young person Develop strong relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives, including psychologists Support and promote the well-being, safety, and development of all children and young people in your care

What We Are Looking For:

Previous experience as a Children's Support Worker or in a youth or social care setting is desirable but not essential Full UK driving license is essential, as you may need to transport young people from time to time Over the age of 22 to meet safeguarding requirements Ability to commute easily to Gloucester Passionate about supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs Motivated, caring, and committed to making a positive impact in young people's lives
