Fulfilment Care Services provides accommodation and support to young people aged 16+ to help them develop their life skills and prepare them for independent living.

Who we are looking for:

This is a post for a Residential Support Worker/Outreach Support Worker who is appropriately experienced with sufficient knowledge and skills to work with young people aged 16+. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting our young people in their daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of support plans. The Support Worker will provide essential support while fostering a positive and nurturing environment. They would work as part of a team providing residential support to young people aged 16 to 24 in Supported Accommodation. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the social care sector with young people.

Ability to work as a team as well as lone working when required, flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and individual needs Ability to support and offer guidance to new members of staff Ability to work using your own initiative and good diary management skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with young people and other professionals Proficiency in IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help our young people improve their quality of life Ability to work with vulnerable young people who may present challenging behaviour Ability to build safe, trusting relationships with young people using a trauma-informed approach

Role Responsibilities:



Liaise with education providers, social services, health care providers and other professionals involved in the young person's care Attend meetings and appointments with young people where required Hold keywork sessions according to the young person's needs and support plan Actively support and encouraging young people to progress towards their full potential Support and encourage young people to develop their life and independence skills such as preparing simple and healthy meals, cleaning and domestic duties, money management and budgeting etc. Ensure all relevant paperwork and records are completed to a high standard such as daily notes and monthly reports in a timely manner Ensure day to day operations of the homes are followed, safety checks are carried out and the home is always kept clean and presentable Maintain detailed records, reports, and logs in line with Ofsted and company standards Conduct weekly health and safety checks in the homes Keep up to date with all our policies and procedures, and familiarise yourself with how to apply these within your working practice Attending and contributing during regular staff meetings, supervisions and training Ability to work flexible shifts and be available for additional hours as and when required including some evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Experience and Qualifications:



At least one years' experience working with young people aged 16+ is highly desirable Good understanding of safeguarding, young people's transition process into independence and trauma-informed practice. Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce or Residential Childcare qualification is preferred but we can offer you the opportunity to work towards it if you do not currently have one. If you already have a relevant Level 3 qualification, there is the opportunity to work towards a Level 5 qualification for a Senior Support Worker or a management position with us. Please specify which role you would like to be considered for when you apply. UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle for business use is highly desirable but non-drivers also welcome to apply.
