We are currently recruiting

Residential Support Workers

to join our

Ofsted-regulated children's residential care home

based in

Northwich

.

This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children and young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or adverse life experiences. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stable environment where children can build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities



Provide day-to-day care and emotional support in line with individual care plans Support children with daily routines, education attendance, and structured activities Build positive, professional, and trusting relationships with children and young people Promote independence, resilience, and life skills Manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques and approved behaviour management strategies Safeguard children at all times, following safeguarding and child protection procedures Maintain accurate records including daily logs, incident reports, and progress notes Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals Support children with appointments, outings, and community engagement Contribute to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and compliant home environment

Essential Criteria



Minimum

1 year experience

working with children or young people in a residential, education, or social care setting Strong understanding of

safeguarding and child protection

Ability to manage challenging behaviour using

positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Resilient, empathetic, patient, and emotionally intelligent Flexible approach to shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Right to work in the UK

Desirable Criteria



NVQ Level 3

in Children & Young People (Residential Pathway) or willingness to work towards it Full UK driving license
