Residential Support Worker


Location:

Solihull

Hours:

37.5 hours per week (including Sleep-In shifts)

Reports to:

Senior Support Worker / Registered Manager

Role Overview



As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide care and support to children aged 8-18 in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development. You will help create a nurturing environment, build positive relationships, and support children with daily routines, education, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities



Provide day-to-day care and emotional support. Manage challenging behaviors and promote positive development. Ensure safeguarding policies are followed. Support children's education, independence, and life skills. Maintain a safe and homely environment. Complete reports and contribute to care plans. Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Requirements



? Experience working with children or young people (residential care preferred).
? Knowledge of safeguarding and behavior management.
? Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
? Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
? NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
