Responsibilities:

Medication administration. Encouraging participation in activities. To provide a high quality of care and contribute to the smooth and safe running of the residential setting. Ensuring safety and well-being and the quality of support given meets the identified needs of the individual student. Complete all plans and reports in a timely and accurate manner. Assist the Registered Manager to monitor expenditure and operate financial systems correctly. Maintain good communication both within the home and with appropriate external agencies. Ensure training requirements for all staff are in line with their personal development plans. Support young people in transitions to and from the home and support the development of positive memories. Work responsibly with the implementation of identified and agreed service user plans. Supporting heavily with challenging behaviour within the facilities. The ability to empathise with young people who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties. Liaise in a positive professional manner with external agencies. Supporting their educational needs and help them learn independent living skills. To encourage a positive environment for all children to thrive and to act responsibly in any interactive sessions. Attend mandatory training courses and keep up to date with all training needs.
Requirements:

Enthusiastic about providing the best care, making a positive impact to someone's life. Basic IT knowledge. Experience of working with children and young people in a residential care environment. QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care Children and Young People or similar (desirable). Understanding of child development & childcal, learning & emotional needs. Hold a DBS, ideally on the update system - if not we can complete this on your behalf. Preferably a full driving licence with access to transport. Full driving licence with access to own transport. NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People (desirable). Able to work on a shift pattern which includes sleep-ins. Experience of working within a residential environment. Aged 21 or over. Experience of working with young people that have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties (desirable). Experience of working with young people that have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
