We are now seeking a dedicated
Team Leader
for our children's home in Rugeley, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced residential childcare worker to step into a leadership role and help make a real difference in young people's lives.
The Role
As a Residential Team Leader, you will support the management team in the day-to-day running of the home, providing both leadership to staff and direct care to the children. You will act as a positive role model, lead shifts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support staff on shift, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
Provide direct care and positive role modelling for children and young people.
Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in daily operations and compliance.
Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and reviews.
Mentor and develop residential staff, promoting best practice.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.
About You
Previous experience working with children and young people in residential childcare is essential.
Experience leading shifts or mentoring staff is highly desirable.
NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) is essential, with willingness to work towards further qualifications.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and child development.
Resilient, reliable, and passionate about improving outcomes for children.
Flexible to work a rota, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
