Job Description

1. JOB PURPOSE



The Skytanking organisation has two divisions, 'Fuel' and 'Airport Operations', the Fuel division is head-quartered in Hamburg, Germany and a part of PrimeFlight (head-quartered in Houston, USA), this role will reports into Operations Director within Airport Operations, in the event of cross product and/or global initiatives then the role will function within a wider Skytanking/PrimeFlight team . All references in this JD are on the basis of operating within the Airport Operations division only; which is currently based in London, England and operating in the U.K., Netherlands and Italy

A leadership role which is a key member of the Skytanking Operations tea, the role will be responsible to build, implement and lead a complete transformation in business capability with regards to resource forecasting, rostering, allocation and optimisation excellence.

A key focus of the role will be to conduct a root and branch review of all resource forecasting, allocation processes, controls and systems before making strategic recommendations for the framework, governance, controls, systems and processes to enable the business to 'master resource planning' and deliver resource forecasting, allocation and optimisation excellence; strategic target = real time control.

Responsible for ensuring compliant and appropriate training, coaching, and accountability for all business unit resource planning/allocation managers and team members with the objective to optimise the regional resource pool as the market leader whilst ensuring all operations comply with our long-term goals and vision.

Lead the strategic S&OP process as well as the tactical, near term, supply and demand resource planning processes, spearheading the related technical initiatives to enhance data analysis and be a passionate advocate for data integrity

To deliver leadership with conviction and speed during irregular operations / business disruption, anticipating best/worse case outcomes and steering the business accordingly.

2. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS



Ensure safe and secure operations in all aspects Delivery of business profit and cash to group targets; linked to resource optimisation budget and targets Improve operational efficiency and productivity by utilizing specialist knowledge of the decision support systems including but not limited to Resource Management System (RMS), Real-Time Control (RTC), Multi-Access Check-in System (MACS) and other Skytanking or third-part Management Information Systems (MIS). Enhance Skytanking as an employer of choice through engaged and empathic resource allocation, systems interfaces and employee empowerment (shift swaps, bidding etc) Ensure all relevant (policies, governance, legal guidelines (internal)), (labour laws, union agreements and alike (external)) are communicated to and understood by all relevant stakeholders, ensuring full compliance and protecting shareholder / brand value Build long term, sustainable, trust-based relationships with customers, authorities, business partners, suppliers and relevant stakeholders Coaching, mentoring and development of resource planning/allocation teams, including performance management, talent management and succession planning Delegate responsibilities to, empower and hold accountable the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance Develop and implement framework, governance, controls, systems and processes, including delivering the business strategic goal of a singular regional resource management standard/process Enable and provide resource/demand/hours/cost data and decision making with regards to commercial contract renewals and new business opportunities Develop and implement resource allocation strategies to optimize organizational efficiency. Collaborate with department heads to identify and forecast resource needs. Maintain accurate records of resource allocation and usage. Provide regular resource utilization reports to senior management. Resolve conflicts and negotiate resource allocation among departments. Train and mentor staff on resource management processes and tools. Evaluate and recommend resource management software and tools. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in resource management Support real sustainability initiatives and achieve true energy consumption and emission reductions that fully align to our corporate sustainability targets, through the optimisation of GSE fleet resources Partner with Managers / business leaders to develop and drive resource optimisation best practices and standardisation across the region Analyse and anticipate problematic situations, irregular operations and/or business disruption providing solutions to ensure financial health, business sustainability and growth Develop and execute innovative business plans to enhance direct labour cost-efficiency, in alignment with our strategic KPI of worked hours per turnaround whilst embracing technological advancements. This role involves a good understanding of the financial plans for the business areas you look after, and a requirement to reconcile variances to forecasted spend.

3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS



Bachelor's degree plus a relevant post-graduate professional qualification or equivalent experience Proven track record in delivery of exceptional resource optimisation in a +50% labour cost business (or equivalent) leadership role Experience of working across multiple product lines and geographic business units Having direct P&L ownership/responsibility of a comparable size and complexity of business, including working knowledge of relevant aspects of the Finance discipline (direct/indirect labour costs, GSE/fleet costs, hours, productivity, forecast & planning) Bringing an established and mature professional network, reputation and personal (personable) brand Aviation experience preferred but not a pre-requisite. Strong influencing skills and a proven ability to deal at all levels within a complex European business, combined with a sound knowledge of effective business leadership best practice. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Meticulous problem solver, confident to challenge and question operational processes, identify inefficiencies and diagnose problems, to simplify and optimise operations. Personality and a can-do attitude are key to success, being able to lead by example, coach, mentor, and inspire the operational teams, building the Skytanking Airport Operations employer brand through trust and authenticity. Spoken and written fluency in English ; spoken and written fluency in another language (as a second language) would be an advantage Role to be based at London Heathrow Head Office but ability to work across the region, and role will require travel Possesses a valid UK driving licence Can obtain security clearance and qualify for an air-side security pass (no legal restrictions)
