The Resource Scheduler works closely with all Operations functions to identify field resources to address organisational needs for Integration, Maintenance, Staffing and Backfill. The Resource Scheduler is responsible for dispatching the necessary team members to client locations to service installations, troubleshooting or other professional services in the Yorktel portfolio both nationally and internationally. Additionally, the Resource Scheduler will identify and assist in onboarding potential new partners.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
This position regularly communicates with both Project Management / Coordination team members, as well as Field Installation team members, and Sales Engineering in order to ensure the proper resources are available and coordinated.
Ensure all required documentation has been made available for Field Installation team members, including but not limited to Project Proposals, System Drawings, POC information, Project Acceptance documentation, and others as needed.
Support the Project Management team with follow up efforts for Field Installation team members, both Yorktel and Subcontracted, to ensure the prompt return of all required documentation (Site Surveys, Acceptance Forms).
Support Design Engineering team with follow up efforts for Field Installation team members, both Yorktel and Subcontracted, to ensure the prompt return of all required documentation (Redline drawings, installation notes, site pictures, site surveys).
Maintain an accurate scheduled forecast of all Field Installation events using approved platform.
Communicate scheduling event additions or changes with effected Field Team members.
Assist in locating new YorkForce partners, also tracking strengths and weaknesses of each individual partner for future reference.
Negotiate with all potential YorkForce partners to ensure Yorktel is receiving a fair rate for work provided.
Attend planning meetings and active involvement in large rollout projects.
Responsible for knowledge of and adherence to all internal York Telecom policies and procedures
All other duties assigned.
Experience with Yorktel business management systems to be used for scheduling of resources.
Ability to create SOP documentation around procedures specific to the position, to be used as training material for others entering the role.
Ability to work with database entry and scheduling systems.

Education and Experience:
A Resource Scheduler in this role may have a degree in a related field such as business administration, operations management, or logistics. A technical degree may not be required, but having one can be beneficial as it demonstrates a strong foundation in technical skills and knowledge. Additionally, certifications in project management, logistics, or supply chain management can also be helpful.
A Resource Scheduler in this role should have several years of experience working in a similar role, such as logistics or project management. They should have a thorough understanding of the AV industry, including equipment, technology, and services. They should have experience coordinating schedules and resources for multiple projects, managing timelines and budgets, and working with a variety of clients and vendors.
They should also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
Overall, a Resource Scheduler in this role should have a combination of operational expertise, project management skills, and strong communication skills to be successful in their role.
