Resourcing Assistant

Job Type:

As a Labour Resourcing Assistant, you will...
Maintain and manage competency matrix for all operatives
Rostering operatives to the client's request
Managing transport to and from site
Managing the delivery of correct equipment for duties
Ensure staff are mentored within the required timescales
Maintain good relations with Clients and their representatives at all times.
Any other duties as requested by line manager
Health, Safety & Data Requirements
Comply with all company HSQE and related policies, maintaining full awareness of safety requirements for your role.
Support the communication and implementation of safety initiatives and ensure attendance at required client/company safety meetings for yourself and your team.
Follow fatigue-management guidelines at all times.
Identify your department's GDPR Lead and follow all GDPR policies, procedures, and good data-handling practices.
Immediately report any suspected GDPR data breaches to the GDPR Lead or Head of HR.
(The above list is not exhaustive, and the post-holder may be asked to undertake such additional tasks as reasonably required)
Essential Qualifications
Experience working in a
resourcing, labour coordination, scheduling, or operations support role
.
Proven ability to
roster operatives
, manage shift allocations, and respond to client requirements.
Experience coordinating
transport, equipment delivery
, or general logistics.
Ability to maintain accurate
competency matrices
, training records, and other compliance documentation.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
Confident in communicating with operatives, clients, and internal departments in a professional manner.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office
, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Ability to use resourcing or workforce management systems (or willingness to learn quickly).
Understanding of
health and safety practices
, including fatigue management, or willingness to undertake training.
Awareness of
GDPR requirements
and responsible handling of sensitive data.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working within the
rail sector
or another highly regulated, safety-critical environment.
Knowledge of rail-specific systems and processes such as
Sentinel
, competency management platforms, medical/D&A processes, and safety briefings.
Experience supporting HSQE compliance or attending safety-related meetings/briefings.
Familiarity with equipment allocation for rail or construction operations.
Experience using HR, payroll, or resourcing systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
