A vacancy exists in a Swansea based engineering company for the position of

Responsible Welding Coordinator



We are looking for an experienced

Responsible Welding Coordinator

to oversee all aspects of welding operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding processes such as

GTAW

,

FCAW

,

GMAW

, and

SAW

, working with materials including

carbon steel

,

chrome moly

, and

stainless steel

.

Key Responsibilities:



Welding Process Expertise:

Manage and coordinate a wide range of welding techniques and materials, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

Procedure Development:

Write, review, and maintain

weld procedures

and

specifications

in accordance with

BSEN 15614

and

ASME IX

standards.

Qualification & Certification:

Oversee the creation and maintenance of

Weld Procedure Qualification Records (WPQRs)

and

Welder Qualification Records (WQRs)

, ensuring all qualifications meet industry requirements.

Material & Certification Knowledge:

Ensure thorough understanding of

material specifications

and the certification process to guarantee the integrity of welding operations.

System Control & Maintenance:

Take responsibility for the control and maintenance of the welding system, ensuring it meets the standards set by

BSEN 1090

and

ISO 3834

.

Quality Assurance:

Work closely with welding inspectors and contribute to the implementation of

non-destructive testing (NDT)

processes to ensure the highest quality standards are consistently met.

Key Qualifications:



Extensive experience with

GTAW

,

FCAW

,

GMAW

,

SAW

welding techniques. Proven track record in writing and maintaining weld procedures in line with

BSEN 15614

and

ASME IX

. Strong knowledge of welding qualifications and certifications. Familiarity with

BSEN 1090

(structural steelwork) and

ISO 3834

(fusion welding quality requirements). Experience in

non-destructive testing (NDT)

and

welding inspection

is a distinct advantage.
