Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the bar, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Supervise and lead bar staff, fostering a positive team environment. Oversee daily bar operations including inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices to enhance customer experience. Develop and implement creative drink menus while ensuring high-quality food production. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor financial performance of the bar, including sales tracking and cost control measures.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Background in culinary arts or food production is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Experience in kitchen operations or hotel environments is an advantage. Familiarity with barista duties is beneficial but not essential.
