Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflow. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and hygiene practices. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.

Skills

Proven supervisory experience within a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Proficient in cooking methods, including grilling, baking, sauteing, and plating. Extensive kitchen experience with a solid understanding of culinary principles. Previous culinary experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills. A passion for hospitality and providing outstanding service to guests.
