Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Chef to join our dynamic team. Ideally an previous experience as chef or any cooking experience is preferred. Any previous experience on grill cooking will be advantageous.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of culinary quality. Learn and manage different aspects of the kitchen food preparation like grill, burger station, back kitchen management, food preparation, packing etc. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Provide excellent guest services by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and efficient service. Utilise basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately. Manage time effectively to prioritise tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail. Support colleagues in various roles within the restaurant as needed, fostering a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for the industry is key. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are advantageous. Understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to enhance guest interactions. A willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative team setting is essential.
