Oita Soho is a lively, fast-paced Japanese restaurant right in the heart of Chinatown, offering guests memorable dining experiences. We're seeking an organised and motivated

Deputy Manager

to help oversee daily service, handle key admin duties, and ensure our guests always receive top-quality hospitality.

Main Duties:

Work alongside the management team to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. Take charge of the floor during service, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and high service standards. Assist with HR administration, payroll processes, and coordination of delivery platforms. Contribute to hiring, interviewing, and training new staff members. Maintain accurate operational records and support the site's financial tracking. Manage supplier orders and stock levels efficiently. Uphold all health, safety, and food hygiene requirements. Handle guest feedback or complaints in a calm, professional way. Encourage and support the team to consistently deliver excellent service.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospitality leadership role. Strong people management skills and the ability to inspire a team. Confident with administrative work, rotas, and basic HR processes. Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel. Well-organised and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure. Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach. Flexible to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis. Detail-focused, professional, and reliable.

Benefits & Package:
