Restaurant General Manager

Salary: 45,000 per annum

The Counter House is looking for a dynamic, experienced General Manager to lead our vibrant, casual dining restaurant in the heart of Ancoats, Manchester.

We're all about delivering fresh, health-conscious food in a welcoming and energetic setting. As General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the team and the experience -- creating a space where both guests and staff feel right at home.

What You'll Be Doing

Overseeing the daily running of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient operations Leading, training, and developing a passionate front- and back-of-house team Driving exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards Managing stock, ordering, and supplier relationships Handling budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Working closely with ownership on business development and improvements

Proven experience in a similar General Manager or senior leadership role within a casual dining environment A natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused setting Strong organisational and communication skills A customer-first attitude with a passion for hospitality Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
